About this organization
Mission
The mission of Tzahal Shalom of N. Westchester Incorporated is to support educational, social, cultural and recreational programs for a delegation of reservists who formerly served in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) as well as educate children and adults residing in Northern Westchester County to these reservists in an effort to create a connection and relationship with the people of Israel.
About
Every year for 10 days in the fall, Tzahal Shalom of N. Westchester welcomes a delegation of reservists who formerly served in the Israel Defense Forces (we formerly hosted active-duty officers) to the Northern Westchester community. The result of this trip is that seniors, adults, college students, teens and children connect with reservists and receive an in-depth education on Israeli culture, politics, and the Israeli military. These IDF reservists come from different military branches and are chosen for their bravery, their stories, and their ability to communicate in English.
