ADDITIONALLY, A WEEKDAY STUDENT AND SENIOR MATINEE PROGRAM PROVIDES FREE PERFORMANCES OF ALL MAINSTAGE SERIES PLAYS FOR DC PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND SENIOR CITIZENS. A NEWER ARTISTIC INITIATIVE, THE LOCALLY GROWN MOSAIC, PROVIDES A PLATFORM FOR LOCAL ARTISTS TO SHARE THEIR WORK THROUGH WORLD PREMIERE PRODUCTIONS, NEW PLAY READINGS AND WORKSHOPS, AND BOOK SALES IN OUR POP-UP LOCAL VOICES BOOKSTORE. THE BOOKSTORE, FEATURING WORKS BY LOCAL TRANS AND GENDER FLUID AUTHORS OF COLOR, ALONGSIDE WORKS BY MOSAIC AUTHORS, OFFERS OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE LIFTING OF LOCAL VOICES AND THE PRESENTATION OF READINGS IN THE ATLAS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER LOBBY.
