IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL LEAGUES, WE PUBLISH A "FACTS FOR CITIZENS" GUIDE WITH GOVERNMENT CONTACT INFORMATION; PUBLISH NONPARTISAN VOTERS' GUIDES AND MAINTAIN AN ONLINE VOTER'S GUIDE WEBSITE; HOLD CANDIDATES' FORUMS; AND MOUNT FORUMS, COMMUNITY DISCUSSIONS, PRESENTATIONS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL EVENTS ADDRESSING SPECIFIC ISSUES. SPECIFICALLY, IN THE 2016 PRIMARY ELECTION, OUR STATEWIDE ONLINE VOTERS' GUIDE, VOTE411.ORG ATTRACTED OVER 20,000 UNIQUE VISITORS TO THE SITE. WE ALSO PROVIDED A DOWNLOADABLE GUIDE THAT INCLUDED INFORMATION ON ALL THE STATEWIDE CANDIDATES. ADDITIONALLY WE HOSTED TWO TELEVISED DEMOCRATIC SENATORIAL DEBATES AS WELL AS A FORUM FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL CANDIDATES. OUR FORUMS AND DEBATES ARE HIGHLY REGARDED BY CANDIDATES, THE PUBLIC AND THE MEDIA FOR THEIR FOCUS ON ISSUES. WE ALSO PROVIDED TELEPHONE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS WHO HAD QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CANDIDATES, HOW TO REGISTER TO VOTE, HOW TO APPLY FOR AN ABSENTEE BALLOT, AS WELL AS OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ELECTION. THE LWVPA-CEF ALSO WORKED TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC, POLICYMAKERS AND THE MEDIA ABOUT THE NEED FOR VOTING SYSTEMS MODERNIZATION IN PENNSYLVANIA AND ADVOCATE FOR INCREASED EASE OF ACCESS TO THE BALLOT BOX.
