Mission

The National Veteran Business Development Council is dedicated to 'serving those who have served' through the advancement of opportunities and growth for veterans and service disabled veterans who elect to pursue the hopes embodied in the American Dream of owning and operating a small business in the free markets which they have protected by their military service to their nation. The NVBDC is the only third party non-governmental organization (NGO) that certifies veteran owned and service disabled veteran owned businesses for major America corporations to contract with VOB/SDVOBs. Since 1999 when the federal government established the veteran owned and disabled veteran owned business classifications, veteran businesses have been seeking equal opportunities with corporate America.

Created and launched custom database to complete the automation for certification of veteran owned businesses (VOBs) and service disabled veteran owned businesses (SDVOBs). Created and launched custom portal for the corporations to review the capability statements and contact information of the VOBs, SDVOBs and to contact them. We have completed over 90 VOBs/SDVOBs certifications including as required the on site visits to confirm the information submitted. Attended many events, specifically to deliver presentations to VOBs, SDVOBs and corporations on the value of certifications.
