About

Investing: The organization also launched an impact investing program, providing financial support to four innovative companies in sustainable agriculture and renewable energy. Through small angel investments the organization can address food and fuel issues at scale while supporting entrepreneurs and helping to build markets for solutions. Through these investments we helped businesses create over 36 new jobs, divert over 19 million pounds of food waste from landfills, save over 250,000 gallons of fuel from being wasted, and prevent over 6,800 metric tons of green house gasses from entering the atmosphere. Organization employees also participated in conferences and meetings to help promote the growth of impact investing within the food and fuel sectors. Additionally, a small grant competition was deployed to help entrepreneurs access incubators and accelerators as early as possible. One small grant was awarded.
