Land Management: Most of the volunteer work days were spent at the Buffalo Skull site cutting resprouts of buckthorn, prickly ash, and other woody species from the savanna. The remaining work days were spent at the goat prairie, where the main target was resprouting red oak trees. Standing Cedars hired the Conservation Corps to do controlled burns at Buffalo Skull, one was at the southern grassland the other was at the northern little bluestem prairie.
