FAMILY ENGAGEMENT: WE OFFER A VARIETY OF WAYS FOR FAMILIES TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR CHILD'S CLASSROOM. CLASSROOM TEACHERS INVITE FAMILIES TO BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN A CLASS PROJECT. WE ALSO OFFER TIMES FOR FAMILIES TO COME IN AND SHARE A MEAL WITH THEIR CHILD. WE ENCOURAGE FAMILIES TO SHARE THEIR FAMILY TRADITIONS AND CULTURE WITH THEIR CHILD'S CLASSROOM. THE TEACHERS REGULARLY COMMUNICATE WITH FAMILIES ABOUT CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES. THE TEACHERS INVITE FAMILIES TO SHARE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND SPECIAL TALENTS IN THE CLASSROOM. THE FAMILY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM WORKS TO ASSIST THE FAMILY AS A WHOLE. ONE OF OUR PROGRAMS (ST. MARY'S TALKS) IS AIMED TO TEACH PARENTS THE IMPORTANCE AND BENEFITS OF TALKING TO THEIR CHILDREN. THIS PROGRAM TARGETS CHILDREN AGES 6 MONTHS TO 35 MONTHS OLD. WE WANT FAMILIES TO FEEL A PART OF OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY. OUR FAMILY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR PROVIDES RESOURCES AND INFORMATION ABOUT SERVICES OFFERED IN THE COMMUNITY TO OUR FAMILIES ALL YEAR.
