About this organization
Mission
TRAINING LONG-TERM CROSS-CULTURAL CHURCH PLANTERS We train singles, couples, and families who are committed to long-term, pioneer church planting among unreached language groups. Radius students acquire spiritual, relational, emotional, and moral maturity, as well as the physical stamina that will enable them to survive the rigors of cross-cultural living. Because God has chosen the local church as the method of taking the gospel to the nations, our primary requirement for applicants is involvement in their local church and approval by their local church as “missionary candidates in training.”
About
The organization operates a cross-cultural church planting training center located in Tijuana, Mexico. The core of the teaching at this facility is Culture and Language Acquisition (CLA), to teach adaptation to and facilitate clear communication with new cultures. The instructors come from a cross-cultural, church-planting background. This instruction is augmented by outside facilitators who periodically teach other areas. The students have time each day to spend in the Tijuana community to observe first-hand and to practice what they are learning in the classes. 37 students graduated in June 2018, and a new class of 51 students began in July, 2018.
