Mission

Mercy House exists to engage, empower and disciple women around the globe in Jesus’ name. We provide for the rescue of pregnant girls in Kenya and provide a home for them. We empower their families and many others with dignified work so we can redeem future generations. We do this by engaging those with resources to say yes to the plight of women in poverty by empowering women around the world through partnerships and sustainable fair trade product development.

The Mercy Maternity House Inc. works with Rehema House Rescue Centre, a charitable foundation in Kenya. During 2017, an additional 6 pregnant teenage girls were rescued and all delivered healthy babies. Together, the organizations managed two maternity homes with approximately 18 girls and their babies as residents. In 2017, a third transition home was opened for 9 girls and their children who had previously been rescued by the Rehema House Rescue Center but were unable to return home due to severe poverty conditions. In 2017, an artisan training center for the mothers was opened for the 9 grandmothers in order to raise their standard of living so that these teenagers could eventually have a safe place to return home. This program affected the lives of about 500 individuals.
