Mission

The Pegasus Project is an equine rescue whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, retrain and rehome neglected, abused and abandoned horses, donkeys and mules throughout Texas. Through love, quality care and superior training methods, we establish a solid foundation of mind and body. We prepare the horses to be adopted by carefully screened forever homes or to serve the needs of at-risk or disabled children and adults through therapeutic riding programs. For a small number of special-needs horses, The Pegasus Project will be a life-long sanctuary.

About

Neglected horses were rescued, rehabilitated (provided care, attention, proper nutrition, and medical care), and retrained. Once the horses were prepared, efforts were made toward adoption into permanent homes.
