About

During 2015, Achon Uganda Children's Fund (AUCF) provided support to the Kristina Health Clinic in the Otuke District of Uganda for clinic expansion and purchase of medical equipment and medication, in order to offer much-needed services to the Otuke District citizens. AUCF continued to grant funds for purchase of medication and supplies needed to treat common illnesses. Funding was also contributed for the final construction of a water collection system (project started in 2014), in order to provide safe, clean water to patients and medical staff. In addition, funds were granted for new services at the clinic, including AIDS testing and treatment, dental work, basic pre-natal care and midwifery. Benefits of the Kristina Health Clinic's ambulance program were expanded by providing transportation from the clinic to the regional hospital in Lira for conditions too serious for the clinic to treat.
