By the end of capital improvements, the garden will be cleaning and diverting over a million gallons of storm water each year. They work in partnership with governments to scale this approach, beginning in Togo. Construction for Change has partnered with Integrate Health to build and renovate health facilities throughout Togo. In 2018 CFC renovated 3 primary care health facilities in Togo. People Served - 15,600Matibabu & Tiba Foundation - Kenya: Matibabu Foundation is a Kenyan nongovernmental organization located in Ukwala, Ugenya sub county, Siaya County. Its mission and purpose are to empower communities to take charge of their health, improve access to quality integrated health services and strengthen linkages to other essential services. By providing health care in the form of prevention programs and treatment services, Matibabu Foundation empowers communities by enhancing their health and hence their economic productivity and societal strength. Construction for Change partnered with Matibabu Hospital & Tiba Foundation to design and build a 52 bed inpatient ward at the main hospital campus. People Served - 20,400Partners in Health (PIH) - Malawi: Completed in Spring 2019, the Chronic Care Center in Neno that Construction for Change Partnered with PIH to build is comprised of two stand-alone buildings housing both the acute and chronic care service lines. The Neno Chronic Care Clinics serves the rural Neno District in the southern region of Malawi and receives referrals from five neighboring facilities and is a primary outpatient facility for 20,000 people in the district. It provides specialty services and referral support to the entire district of more than 165,000 people. PIH expects over 200,000 visits per year for treatment for chronic illnesses such as HIV, tuberculosis, diabetes. Integrated women's health services will be offered: prenatal care, cervical cancer screenings, family planning, pediatric care and acute visits for sick patients. People Served - 200,000BABES Network - Seattle, WA: The BABES Network is one of 10 health programs housed in the health wing of the YWCA/Seattle. These programs address; health education, mental health counseling, substance abuse disorder treatment, wellness coaching, peer support, care coordination and insurance enrollment. Construction for Change partnered with Health Builds to build a health center in Rwanda. This health center serves the Rugerero sector of Rubavu district of the Western Province of Rwanda. Due to the population density of this sector (one of the most urban settings outside of the capital city of Kigali), the Rugerero health center will increase the population served by Health Builders-constructed health centers by more than 30%. This health center will serve over 42,500 people residing in Rugerero sector of Rubavu District. 22,050 of these are women, and 10,567 are women of reproductive age. 6,871 are children under 5 and 1,419 are children under 1. In addition, 17.7% of men (15-49 years old) and 19.3% of women of the same age range have never been tested for HIV. Approximately 35% of this population is more than an hour away from the nearest health facility-some require more than two hours to reach health services. People Served - 42,500 individualsDandelion Africa: Dandelion Africa's mission is to stimulate awareness and involvement in creating sustainable solutions to improve governance, opportunity for education, sexual reproductive health and economic livelihoods for women, girls and youth in marginalized areas.
