Astrophysical Research Consortium was established to design, build and operate a variety of sizes and shapes of telescopes at its Apache Point site at Sunspot, New Mexico.

The 3.5 meter telescope benefits the research faculty, graduate andundergraduate students, and public outreach programs of each memberinstitution. Using innovative remote software, astronomers can operateand collect data from anywhere in the world. The telescope has a suiteof cameras and spectrographs that serve a wide variety of scientificendeavors, resulting in more than 50 refereed science results beingpublished each year. There is an active outreach program at theobservatory and at member institutions.The 2.5 meter telescope, which operates the SDSS-IV survey projects,had a productive year. The ongoing SDSS-IV project is a collaborationof more than 60 institutions and 600 astronomers. The primary foci of the survey this year were the on-going operations at Apache PointObservatory and at Las Campanas Observatory. Also SDSS-V continues with fundraising and started working on time-critical tasks.
