The Restorative Justice Project of the Midcoast promotes fundamental change in the justice system and schools. Our responses to crime and wrongdoing seek renewal and safety for the community, support and healing for victims and accountability and reintegration of the offender.

CRC also accepts referrals from schools (for students in danger of suspension or expulsion), law enforcement and miscellaneous other facets of the community. Community Resolution Conferencing MDOC with $125,000 contract with Maine Department of Corrections to provide victim/person harm, a means to repair harm and make restitution of the damage to property through restorative conferencing. Mentors are provided for each case. Additional income from small grants and individual donations.MYC also has a contract for $365.000 with the DOC providing similar programs in the Portland and Lewiston Maine area.
