About
Family Promise is a partnership between the faith community and our professional staff who unite hearts and hands to provide shelter, assistance, and compassion to homeless families. Our unique model enables Family Promise to deliver services at less than a third of the cost of a traditional shelter. Since opening in 1995, Family Promise of Southwestern Pennsylvania has served over 600 local families, including nearly 1,200 children. Approximately 70% of the families who come to us go successfully to housing with an average stay of only 6 weeks.
