Camp Setebaid, a type 1 diabetes summer camp for youth, held 3 sessions in 2019: Camp Setebaid at Swatara for ages 13-18, the counselor-in-training program, a leadership training program for ages 16-17, and Camp Setebaid at Mount Luther for ages 7-14. It met its mission training over 160 campers excellent diabetes management, and training over 35 future healthcare professionals. This camp enabled campers to meet others with T1D, end social isolation, offered respite to other family members, fostered independence in the campers, and taught them to share with healthcare professionals in a non-clinical setting. Activities include: archery, boating, swimming, disc golf, gaga, ropes course, zip line, and mini-golf.
