Free services provided in 2018-2019 include: community services: provided residents resources necessary to be safe, healthy and move to self- sufficiency. Financial assistance to 120 households; employment assistance to 60 individuals; domestic violence counseling to 54 individuals; holiday gifts to 500 children; Thanksgiving dinner to 155 households; back-to-school supplies to 162 children. Food and nutrition: food pantry provided 68 tons of food donated worth 230,000 to 422 individuals per month; meals on wheels provided 25,251 meals to 82 homebound elderly residents; 2,239 lunches were served to almost 100 unduplicated visitors; served 463 lunches to children through the summer food service program; played key role in first Monday community supper program providing more than 1,500 hot meals to the community. Education: 38 high school equivalency students passed 48 individual subject tests (a 91% success rate); 8 students completed their high school equivalency diploma. 295 unduplicated seniors made 7,470 visits for educational and socialization programs at the senior center. Overall our staff had greater than 14,773 contacts by phone, email and in person for information, referral and services.
