It is the mission of the Greater Newark Charter School (the 'charter school') to be the best middle school in Newark, New Jersey. The charter school provides a full range of services appropriate to meeting the needs of all students in grades five through eight. Effective July 1, 2014, the charter school ceased its operations as a result of the non renewal of its charter by the state of New Jersey Department of Education. During fiscal years 2015, 2016 & 2017, only dissolution activities were conducted such as collection of receivables, disposition of assets owned by the charter school and dispensing of liabilities.
