Treatment adherence: Every year brings new HIV treatment options and new challenges to staying on track with complicated regimens. Through workshops and one-on-one counseling, Alliance helps people living with HIV/AIDS stick to treatments, manage side effects, communicate with doctors, and learn more about treatment options. Alliance offers a comprehensive treatment adherence program to help participants achieve and sustain viral load suppression ('VLS'), reduce hospitalization, and improve quality of life through pharmacy access centers at Alliance community centers in Washington Heights, Midtown, and the Bronx that enhance access to medication, education, and treatment planning; peer support and medical case management that ensures sustained access to medical care, behavioral health, and related support services (including food & nutrition services); incentives as part of our progressive patient-centered adherence plan with directly observed therapy ('DOT') at Alliance community centers, virtually, and in patient homes; and Undetectables!, a multi-level approach to achieving VLS, including care management, social media campaign and quarterly incentives.
