Mission

Urban Arts Partnership (UAP)'s mission is to provide students from low-income communities with a quality 21st century education that is rooted in the arts of technology, preparing them for lifelong success.

About

Urban Arts Partnership (UAP) provides arts integration programs for 15,000 students in K-12 Title I schools. Our programs serve students during school hours, after school and throughout the summer. UAP also provides on- and off-site professional development for 100 teachers. With four active arts integration programs, UAP is a hub for innovative programs customized to meet a range of student needs and teachers' professional development goals. The Everyday Arts for Special Education program develops social-emotional learning and communication skills for students with special needs. Story Studio uses storytelling and visual expression to develop English fluency in English language learners. STEAM Labs brings project-based learning and design thinking to enliven math and science classes. And, the School of Interactive Arts teaches games design to high school students, thereby helping them build pre-professional skills in computer science, improve grades, and succeed in competitive game design programs in college. Ultimately, UAP prepares students to be creative problem solvers and life-long learners.
