Mission

PUAH is devoted to helping the greater Jewish community fulfil their dreams of building a healthy family. Whether individuals are struggling with fertility, women's health, men's health, genetics or intimacy, PUAH is here to help. PUAH advisors embody a unique synthesis of rabbinical knowledge and specialized training in modern reproductive medicine to provide the best guidance possible. Our counseling and guidance is free-of-charge, helping to ease the difficult journey. All that we do is carried out in accordance to Jewish law, with deep sensitivity and compassion.

About

In 1978, the first baby was born through in-vitro fertilization (IVF), an extraordinary scientific breakthrough. This medical revolution raised major halachic questions, prompting Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu zt"l, then the Chief Rabbi of Israel, to charge Rabbi Menachem Burstein with researching a halachic framework to assist the Jewish community. Providing A Wealth Of Resources Rabbi Burstein recognized that Jewish men and women need a wide network of resources to help understand their fertility options. This would include supervision in laboratories to protect from possible errors and mix-ups. His vision also included one-on-one counseling by compassionate and educated professionals who understand the medical, halachic, and emotional aspects of each unique case. In 1980, from a desk in his humble living room, Rabbi Burstein established PUAH. With Hashem's helping hand and a dedicated team, we have flourished into a worldwide organization that has counseled more than 100,000 families through their infertility struggles!
