About

The Fund for Public Health in New York (FPHNYC) is a strategic partner of the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (the Health Department). Our vision is to safeguard and enhance the health of all New Yorkers so that they can realize their full health potential, including increased life expectancy, regardless of who they are, where they are from, and where they live. FPHNYC collaborates with the Health Department to design, implement, and manage essential public health programs. FPHNYC helps ensure the efficient use of resources for public health programs by providing fiscal and administrative management services to the Health Department and its community-based partners. As an independent, not-for-profit organization, FPHNYC builds and expands cross-sector partnerships that connect the Health Department to the philanthropic community and other stakeholders. Many of the more than 120 programs in FPHNYC’s current portfolio support the goals of the City of New York's HealthyNYC campaign to improve and extend the average lifespan of all New Yorkers.
