Perception Programs promotes wellness through innovative and holistic behavioral healthcare for individuals and our community. We believe that addictions are biological, psychological, social, and behavioral disorders which adversely affect a person’s physical, psychological, economic, spiritual, and social well-being. We also recognize that mental health disorders and criminal behaviors are often closely associated with each other and with substance use. As a result, we offer multiple treatment modalities, using evidenced-based approaches to assist every client in developing cognitive, emotional, behavioral and social resources to live healthy lives.

PPI behavioral health centers serve clients in Danielson, Storrs and in Willimantic. A total of 1,403 clients were treated during the fiscal year. 291 received intensive outpatient services. The program completed 1,213 chemical dependency evaluations. From the 1,068 total evaluations, 254 were through the Department of Children and Families. PPI BHC's continue to serve the culturally diverse, recovery and mental health need of northeastern Connecticut. Referrals for evaluations and treatment are received from the Department of Correction, Judicial Branch Court Support Services Division, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Probate Court, Federal Probation as well as other community agencies and self-referrals.
