SIHC provides coordinated health services that support our mission to protect and improve the physical, mental and spiritual wellness of our Native American community. As a non-profit health care organization since 1982, Southern Indian Health Council provides comprehensive medical and dental care, senior support, behavioral health and family social services through our clinics, outreach resource events, and mobile unit. We are proud to serve a consortium of seven Native American Tribal Reservations in rural east San Diego County, where access to resources can be a significant challenge. We currently have 992 consortium, 1,404 Native non-consortium, and 2,216 non-Native patients. SIHC is accredited and certified as a Medical and Dental Patient Centered Home through Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) which demonstrates our commitment to providing all integrated patient care through a team approach. Recent programs include the Boys & Girls Club of Kumeyaay Nation Wellness supporting youth ages 6-19 and the ROAM medical, dental, and behavioral health mobile unit to make health care more accessible.Southern Indian Health Council strives through a broad range of services to meet the needs of the community in a high quality manner that respects Native American values & traditions.
