Mission

California Health Advocates provides quality Medicare and related healthcare coverage information, education and policy advocacy.

About

California Health Advocates' (CHA) federally funded Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) program trains volunteers to perform outreach to California seniors to educate them about Medicare fraud, how to avoid being de-frauded, and how to report fraud. The SMP program also performs preliminary fraud investigations, referring more complex cases to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for resolution. We routinely provide topical training to our 600 volunteers through monthly webinars, partner conference calls and semi-annual, in-person training; provide timely information on our robust website (www.cahealthadvocates.org); and publish fraud advisories in 7 threshold languages.
