About

Habitat restoration: NSEA's salmon focused habitat restoration projects have a strong foundation in scientific methodology and are planned and implemented with many cooperative public, private, tribal, and business partners. Project staff led 19 new restoration projects in 2019 including in-stream work, large woody debris (LWD) placement, fish passage barrier removal, and livestock exclusion. In 2019, NSEA staff and crew members planted 14,755 feet of streambank with 13,406 native trees and shrubs and installed 40 LWD structures. 19 instream projects resulted in improving access to 9.4 miles of salmon habitat.
