THE LAW SCHOOL CONTINUES TO REFLECT AN INCREASINGLY MORE DIVERSE STUDENT BODY THAT ALSO REFLECTS THE CHANGING DEMOGRAPHICS OF THE COMMUNITY.ADMISSION STANDARDS HAVE BEEN CONSISTENT OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS.MCL'S ENROLLMENT STRATEGY IS TO SELECT THE MOST QUALIFIED 30 TO 40 NEW STUDENTS EACH YEAR WHILE MAINTAINING A RELATIVELY CONSTANT STANDARD FOR LSAT AND UNDERGRADUATE GPA.OUR BASIC GOAL IS TO ACHIEVE AN ENTERING CLASS STANDARD OF AT LEAST A 30% AVERAGE LSAT AND 3.00 UNDERGRADUATE GPA. MCL HAS EXCEEDED THIS GOAL FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS.MCL HAS INCREASED TOTAL ENROLLMENT FROM 107 STUDENTS AT ONE CAMPUS IN 2010 TO A PROJECTED COMBINED ANNUAL ENROLLMENT OF 155 STUDENTS AT FOUR LOCATIONS AND ONLINE IN 2019, AN INCREASE OF APPROXIMATELY 45%. THE LAW SCHOOL OPENED SAN LUIS OBISPO COLLEGE OF LAW IN THE FALL OF 2015 AND KERN COUNTY COLLEGE OF LAW IN THE FALL OF 2017. AS OF FALL 2019, THE LAW SCHOOL HAS INCREASED ANNUAL ENROLLMENT BY ADDING APPROXIMATELY 45 STUDENTS AT ITS SAN LUIS OBISPO COLLEGE OF LAW CAMPUS AND 45 STUDENTS AT ITS KERN COUNTY COLLEGE OF LAW CAMPUS. IN 2018, THE LAW SCHOOL WAS ALSO AUTHORIZED BY THE STATE BAR OF CALIFORNIA TO OFFER A HYBRID ONLINE DEGREE PROGRAM THAT IS ANTICIPATED TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL 8-10 STUDENTS PER YEAR STARTING IN FALL 2019.MCL'S OVERALL GRADUATION RATE FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS IS APPROXIMATELY 75%.ADMISSION STANDARDS ARE COMPETITIVE ON A STATE-WIDE LEVEL.FACULTY EXCELLENCE - 60 LOCAL LAWYERS AND JUDGES SERVE AS ADJUNCT FACULTY.OVER TWO-THIRDS OF THE CURRENT MCL FACULTY ARE GRADUATES OF TIER 1 U.S. LAW SCHOOLS.
