Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Open to all girls ages 5 to 17, Girl Scouts offers a time-tested, research-backed leadership development program that helps girls take the lead--in their own lives and in the world. Our regional council, Girl Scouts of Northern California (GSNorCal), is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA. We are one of the largest councils in the nation, serving more than 34,000 girls and 26,000 adult members across 19 Northern California counties.
