About this organization
Mission
Cascadia Wildlands defends and restores Cascadia’s wild ecosystems in the forests, in the courts, and in the streets. We envision vast old-growth forests, rivers full of wild salmon, wolves howling in the backcountry, a stable climate, and vibrant communities sustained by the unique landscapes of the Cascadia bioregion.
About
Since 1998, Cascadia Wildlands has identified the greatest threats to rivers, forest, native fish and wildlife in Northern California, Oregon, Washington and Southern Alaska (i.e. Cascadia). Cascadia Wildlands has executed strategic campaigns to protect and preserve the ecological integrity of these places. We have protected tens of thousands of acres of once threatened wildlands and helped restore species back from the brink of extinction, the gray wolf, for example. We function best in coalition and regularly join forces with local, regional, and national organizations to bolster our effectiveness.
