Housing: The core of the direct services provided to clients is NWPP's housing program. NWPP provides advocacy and emergency financial support to prevent evictions; emergency housing; assistance finding permanent affordable housing; housing vouchers; and relocation and moving assistance. This program served 1,008 households. 606 households had a thorough one-on-one housing assessment, 274 households received housing case management services, 188 households were placed into permanent affordable housing, 283 households received homeless prevention service, either through rent assistance or help moving to a more affordable apartment. Emergency services: Many NWPP clients have emergent needs in connection with their housing. NWPP's emergency fund allows staff the discretion to meet these needs. Frequently, a relatively small investment today is able to prevent greater problems in the future.
