Western Forest Industries Museum educates the public in the history of the logging industry and the use of steam trains in the Pacific Northwest. Over 42,000 passengers participated in train rides to the museum location with 6,000 visiting the museum. Also, there was over 30 hours of student visitors via school field trips. In 2018 Western Forest Industries Museum installed a new exhibit for a log mover. Total numbers were down in 2018 due to a transition in staffing and decisions by the railroad to stall train operations from June 1 to August 15.
