Secret Harbor lives its mission by focusing on young people who have experienced serious trauma, abuse and neglect in their lives, and their families have been disrupted. The agency operates three programs - community-based residential treatment, therapeutic foster care, and in-home support for families in crisis or transition.

Residential treatment program: Children and youth reside in family-like living environment with six youth per home in the community. Behavior support plans are formulated to identify the kinds of interventions that help each child self-regulate their behaviors to move to other less restrictive settings. The interventions identified are targeted for use in school, at the home and in the child's family home. These environments are staffed to support youth in their progression toward permanency in foster care, with their family or living independently.
