THE MORNING STAR BOYS' RANCH RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM SERVES SEVERELY TRAUMATIZED BOYS BETWEEN 6 AND 12 YEARS OF AGE, WHOSE BEHAVIORS ARE SO SEVERE THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO BE SUCCESSFULLY PLACED IN FOSTER CARE. THE PROGRAM SETS BEHAVIORAL IMPROVEMENT GOALS FOR EACH BOY IN SOCIAL SKILLS, EMOTIONAL REGULATION, AND EDUCATION, WITH THE GOAL THAT THE RESIDENT'S BEHAVIOR IMPROVES ENOUGH TO BE SUCCESSFULLY PLACED IN FOSTER OR KINSHIP CARE AFTER LEAVING MSBR.
