About this organization
Mission
To strengthen and support historically underserved communities in southern Nevada through educational and cultural programs and services.
About
Rainbow Dreams Academy Charter School is a primary provider of early and middle childhood education, family engagement, professional development programming, and support services in Clark County, Nevada. The program targets at-risk youth and under-served populations, currently serving over 350 students in kindergarten to eighth grade. Since 2007, with a mere 52 students, the school's focus has been on creating a solid educational foundation that celebrates diversity, cultural and artistic appreciation, community engagement and outreach, personal responsibility and development, and academic success. The school has grown significantly and now encompasses a before and after school tutoring program in the form of Dream Care and provides free and reduced cost nutritional services and backpacks full of necessary supplies and uniforms to every child in need. Rainbow Dreams Academy offers free tuition and provides smaller teacher-to-student ratios with highly qualified faculty and staff to ensure the students have hands on support for the challenging curriculum we provide. Our goal is to create lifelong learners who are productive members of their community and well-rounded citizens. The goals and objectives of this program are achieved by stressing the importance of developing a strong educational foundation in a child's early years. Additional emphasis is placed on youth and adult education, cultural awareness and appreciation and support for existing programs and services that have demonstrated success in leadership development and building stronger neighborhoods, communities and families.
