About
The Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix, founded in 1929, is Arizona's longest-standing choir, known for its rich history, exceptional artistry, and commitment to community. Our members come from all across the Phoenix valley and diverse backgrounds, united by a shared passion for creating beautiful music. The chorus is committed to support its community with outreach activities supporting students, veterans, people living with dementia and so much more. Now in its 96th season, Orpheus has performed internationally, sharing the stage in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and participating in cultural exchanges across Europe and Asia. Orpheus has performed for many dignitaries including President John F. Kennedy, Pope John Paul II and Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. With a diverse repertoire spanning classical, sacred, and contemporary works, the chorus remains dedicated to delivering high-caliber performances that inspire and engage audiences locally and globally.
