Greasepaint Youtheatre is in its 34th year as a professionally-directed community theatre, located in the historic Stagebrush Theatre in Old Town Scottsdale, specializing in youth performances of the highest quality. With its drive to deliver unprecedented performing arts performances, to engage Scottsdale's youth in the theater, and to support professional artists in the valley, Greasepaint is an integral asset to Scottsdale in its mission to deliver a strong, vibrant community through the arts. In its 2017-2018 season, it produced 6 full-length musicals involved 300 kids as cast and crew in the shows hired 41 professional artists directors, musicians, technical professionals delivered 7500 audience members high-quality, award winning performances taught more than 1500 children ages 6-18 in 16 theater camps, workshops and residencies during the school year and summer and vacation breaks and ran the highly-acclaimed Bare Bones Theatre Company - a unique, student-produced program, including new works productions written and produced by alumni.
