MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS: THE ANNUAL MAINSTAGE SEASON, SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY, FEATURES A CORE OF SIX MAINSTAGE THEATRE PRODUCTIONS WITH ADDITIONAL OFFERINGS OF PRODUCED AND PRESENTED WORKS. ATC IS THE ONLY MEMBER OF THE LEAGUE OF RESIDENT THEATRES (THE ORGANIZATION OF PROFESSIONAL PRODUCING REGIONAL THEATRES) THAT OPERATES SERVING TWO CITIES. EACH SEASON, MORE THAN 100,000 PEOPLE ATTEND PERFORMANCES AT THE TEMPLE OF MUSIC AND ARTS IN TUCSON AND THE HERBERGER THEATER CENTER IN PHOENIX. ATC PROVIDES AUDIENCES THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE WITHIN A SEASON THE MANY FORMS BY WHICH THEATRE TELLS STORIES THAT IS NOT DUPLICATED IN ARIZONA. WORKS ORIGINATING AT ATC ARE FREQUENTLY PERFORMED AT OTHER THEATRES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY, EXPANDING THE REACH OF OUR WORK AND THE AUDIENCE FOR OUR ARTISTS AND COLLABORATES WITH OTHER REGIONAL THEATRES IN CO-PRODUCTIONS. ATC ALSO MAINTAINS A PLAYWRIGHT-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM.AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT: ATC IS ABLE TO WORK WITH PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS WHOSE WORK IS NOT OFTEN PRESENTED IN THE SOUTHWEST. WE HAVE A TRACK RECORD OF CO-PRODUCING WITH PRESTIGIOUS THEATRES ALL OVER THE COUNTRY SUCH AS BERKELEY REPERTORY THEATRE, SEATTLE REPERTORY THEATRE, DALLAS THEATRE CENTER, GUTHRIE THEATRE, PENUMBRA THEATRE, ACTORS THEATRE OF LOUISVILLE, CLEVELAND PLAYHOUSE, NORTHLIGHT THEATRE, PASADENA PLAYHOUSE, ALLIANCE THEATRE, PAPERMILL PLAYHOUSE AND OTHERS PLUS PRESENTING IMPORTANT WORKS BY OTHER COMPANIES SUCH AS THE ROYAL NATIONAL THEATRE.
