La Posada provided independent apartment and garden home housing with daily meals, campus case management, on-call emergency security & nursing, wellness clinics, housekeeping and laundry services, maintenance services, transportation, special functions, and activities to 716 residents, whose average age was 85. La Posada formed Nakoma Sky LLC with the intention of creating a second campus with the same mission and philosophy of La Posada Green Valley. Due to challenges associated with locating sufficient construction sub-contractors and rapidly rising construction materials and labor costs, the board of trustees elected to place the project on hold.
