DAY CARE, AFTER-SCHOOL, PRESCHOOL AND SUMMER PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN

About

Honeybear Daycare Center is pleased to announce twenty-three years of service to the children and families of Missoula, Montana and the surrounding area. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, educational environment for all of our children. We are licensed by the State of Montana to care for children ranging from 2 to 8 years of age. In addition to our daily childcare program, we offer a preschool program, after school program, and a fully staffed summer program. Honeybear also partners with Hellgate High Schools Child Development classes in a grassroots effort to introduce those students to the business world and promote potential career opportunities upon graduation. Our full time professional teaching staff is supported by students from the University of Montanas work study program, many of whom are enrolled in the colleges Elementary Education Curriculum. Honeybears daily program adds a practical supplement to their classroom studies while providing additional income to the students. Each of our teachers participate in Civil Rights Training, continuing education classes, and have taken over and above the necessary training hours to meet government standards and maintain accreditation in the State of Montana. Honeybears present curriculum includes childcare, preschool lessons, interactive musical sessions by Tangled Tones Studio, Stretching, Exercise, and modified age appropriate Taekwondo by Championship Training, daily playground activities (weather permitting) and field trips to local events and points of interest. Honeybear Daycare participates in the USDA Food Program and provides approved nutritious meals at breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. Meals are served family style. Mealtime affords a unique opportunity for the children to experience fellowship, while learning and practicing manners and table etiquette. Honeybear also participates in the state of Montanas Best Beginnings program which offers childcare scholarships to eligible families. Parents are encouraged to participate in any of our functions. During the 2018-2019 school year, Honeybear has been privileged to serve over 100 area children and their families. We are also pleased to contribute to the local economy by providing equal employment opportunities as well as supporting local businesses and merchants. Honeybear has published a non-discriminatory policy and effectively implements policies, procedures, and systems that supports stable staff and strong fiscal, program management so all children, families, and staff have high quality experiences.
