CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY PROGRAM - PROVIDES A VOLUNTEER'S VOICE IN COURT FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE VICTIMS OF ABUSE, NEGLECT, OR DOMESTIC CONFLICT SAFE AND PERMANENT HOMES. IN SUPPORT OF THESE ADVOCACY SERVICES, THE AGENCY ADMINISTERS SEVERAL PROGRAMS. SUPERVISED EXCHANGE AND PARENTINGTIME PROGRAM (SEPT) IS A COURT-ORDERED SERVICE TO PROTECT CHILDREN FROMWITNESSING PARENTAL DISPUTES DURING WHICH EXCHANGE PROGRAM VOLUNTEERSOVERSEE THE TRANSFER OF CHILDREN FROM ONE PARENT TO ANOTHER INCONFLICTIVE CUSTODY OR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES. CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN TRANSITION PROGRAM (CFIT) EDUCATES PARENTS ABOUT THE EFFECTS OF DIVORCE ON CHILDREN, THE LEGAL ASPECTS OF CUSTODY ARRANGEMENT, AND THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF PARENTAL CONFLICT ON CHILDREN. THE MILTON FOSTER CHILDREN'SFUND (MFCF) PROVIDES FOSTER CHILDREN WITH OPPORTUNITIES NOT FUNDED THROUGH OTHER AGENCIES. THESE NEEDS INCLUDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SPORTS AND RECREATION, SPECIALIZED EDUCATION AND UNMET NEEDS, AMONG OTHERS. THE HANGER PROJECT, A MFCF PROGRAM, IS A STORE WITH USED CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES FOR ADOLESCENTS IN FOSTER CARE. THE ADOLESCENTS MAY SELECT FIVE ITEMS PER MONTH. THE TEENS ALSO WORK IN THE STORE AND LEARN JOB SKILLS. CASA OFFERS WEEKEND CLASSES ON LIFE SKILLS AND JOBS/CAREERBUILDING TO STRENGTHEN THEIR OPPORTUNITIES AS THEY MOVE TOWARD ADULTHOOD.
