Swallow Hill, founded in 1979 as a non-profit music organization, brings life to concerts, classes and community across metro Denver. Swallow Hill is home to the country's second largest acoustic music school with 60 faculty members hosting 64,000 visits annually; produces 250 concerts bringing together 64,000 concert goers each year (21,000 of those come to shows at our Yale Ave building); and through community programs creates more than 49,000 music connections in under-served communities working in more than 100 schools and community organizations. Swallow Hill brings together people of all ages to learn about, listen to and perform music.

Swallow Hill Music experienced another great year in 2018 with continued growth. Our operations are focused on three main areas: community outreach, concerts and classes. Visits across all program areas increased by more than 8%. Our community outreach programs have been a major area of focus for Swallow Hill in the past three years. Providing unique music education and experiences to under-served communities has grown from 2% of all program participants in 2015 to 27% in 2018. Our primary focus has been early childhood education music programming, and through our Little Swallows program, we are now in 19 schools, serving 1,200 students in 2018. This program consists of 30-minute classes once a week for the entire school year.
