OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE COUNSELING TO FULL-TIME VOCATIONAL MINISTRY WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN MEMPHIS. OUR VISION IS TO RESOURCE THE LOCAL CHURCH AND PARACHURCH MINISTRIES IN MEMPHIS THROUGH PERSONAL COUNSELING, PREEMPTVE TRAINING, AND PIVOTAL FUNDING SO THAT OUR CITY IS TRANSFORMED BY THE GOSPEL.

SANCTUARY COUNSELING CENTER PROVIDES LOW-COST MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING TO THOSE EMPLOYED BY FULL-TIME MINISTRY ORGANIZATIONS AND ALSO TO THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS OF THESE INDIVIDUALS. TO ADDRESS SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY, THE CENTER PROVIDES AFFORDABLE SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS ACROSS DEMOGRAPHIC AND ECONOMIC LEVELS. THE COUNSELORS PRACTICE A VARIETY OF COUNSELING TECHNIQUES TO ADDRESS MENTAL DISORDERS (SUCH AS DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER, PANIC DISORDER, ETC.) AND RELATIONAL FAMILY DYSFUNCTIONS (SUCH AS POOR COMMUNICATION, LOW SELF-WORTH, SELF-HARM, NEGLECT, OR ABUSE) TO REDUCE SYMPTOMS, PROMOTE HEALTHY LIVING, AND RESTORE THE FUNCTIONALITY AND RELATIONSHIPS OF INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. THE CENTER PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS FOR MINISTRY LEADERS AND ALSO FOR THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE TO RAISE AWARENESS OF MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND EQUIP THE LEADERS WITH SKILLS TO ADDRESS MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS OF INDIVIDUALS IN THEIR ORGANIZATIONS.
