Safe Passage's mission is to "Provide safety, education, and empowerment to victims of violence and the community". The agency was established in 1977 and is one of the largest dual purpose domestic violence and sexual assault programs in the State of Idaho. Each year, Safe Passage's provides confidential and comprehensive services and emergency shelter to over a thousand survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child victimization. In addition, Safe Passage provides violence prevention education and health relationship curriculum to over 5,000 teens and community members throughout the 5 northern counties.
