Performances: Mercury reached over 20,000 through its performances in 2018-2019. Mercury offers a wide variety of concert series, touching the entire Houston community. From its acclaimed flagship series at the Wortham Center to its community concerts around the greater Houston area to its annual free concert at Miller Outdoor Theater. Mercury's Neighborhood Series brings casual, affordable and intimate performances to four distinct neighborhoods: The Woodlands, Memorial, Museum District and Midtown. These are hour-long performances without intermission, and are designed to be accessible to audiences of all walks of life. Mercury's passionate and accessible performances of diverse repertoire are designed to be enjoyed by all. The orchestra is known for its vivacious signature sound and its use of period instruments.
