1. Established the CVHEC English Faculty Corequisite Task Force with representatives of CVHEC member institutions. 2. Guided pathways: Central Valley Higher Education Consortium (CVHEC) visited with LFM (Leading from the Middle Academy) and guided pathways teams to understand challenges faced by the transformation effort. Visits occurred April through June 2018 and allowed CVHEC and the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) regional coordinator to respond with resources and future resources. 3. Legislative summit: CVHEC hosted the October 2017 summit in Fresno, over 130 intersegmental higher education leaders and legislators gathered to discuss higher education policy efforts. 3. 15 to finish: At the March 2018 Master Plan for Higher Education hearing in Fresno, California, CVHEC heard students share their struggles with food insecurity, housing costs, and other basic needs. CVHEC has decided to inform a campaign to support basic needs for students and encourage full-time enrollment.
