About

Theatrical Productions 2018: "1968" by Cora Cardona Co-directed by Cora Cardona and Sorany Gutierrez. A world-premiere, original, multi-media work that explores an electrifying year in history. Fifty years ago, a young man is rocked by events which continue to resonate today. "Noche Cosmica" stage dramatic reading of contemporary indigenous poetry from Mexico, a presentation of the Yaqui ceremonial Danza del Venada and herbaceous Maria Sabina cocktails, honoring the famous Mexican healer. "Fur" by Migdalia Cruz directed by Sorany Gutierrez This is the story of Citrona, a hirsute young woman who is purchased at a sideshow to become the bride of a young man with a fetish for animals in post- apocalyptic Los Angeles. This tragi-comic, triangular love story reimagines a beauty and a beast, but with uncompromising results. "Bongo Talks," which is an interactive touring performance and an original production written and created by Omar Padilla. Using music, marionettes and clowning techniques, this interactive performance is designed to engage children and encourage them to rely on the power of their intuition and how to manage their emotions when confronted with challenges.
