With a vision of a casa volunteer for every child who needs one, the agency assigned 483 volunteers to 605 cases. According to the Texas annual report and data book from the department of family and protective services, Tarrant County had the 4th highest number of confirmed cases of child abuse in the state. Our volunteers served a total of 1154 abused and neglected children in Tarrant County foster care. Of the 1154 children served, over half were under the age of five and they represented every race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status.
