Concerts - in line with the Waco Symphony's mission statement of bringing classical music to the local community, the Waco Symphony presented four classical concerts in its 57th year, the 2018-2019 season which included guest artists violinist Corey Cerovsek, pianist Gabriela Martinez, violinist Haeun Moon and cellist Hayoung Moon. One of the concerts also added Harry Winkler narrating the Sergei Prokofiev musical story 'Peter and the Wolf'. In addition, one concert presented the Grammy Award winning pop/jazz trumpeter Chris Botti. The WSA provides an internship for college students majoring in music performance, which affords them an opportunity to perform with the Waco Symphony Orchestra. In addition to the opportunity to perform with a professional orchestra through the internship, students are awarded a scholarship for their college education.
