PARENT'S AS TEACHERS (PAT) IS ALSO AHOME-BASED EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT ACTIVELY ENGAGES PARENTS IN TEACHING AGE AND DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE LEARNING ACTIVITIES TO THEIR BIRTH TO TWO YEAR OLD CHILDREN. HIPPY AND PAT RECOGNIZE THE IMPORTANT ROLE PARENTS PLAY IN THEIR CHILD'S EARLY LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND PROVIDE IN-HOME PARENTING SUPPORT, AS WELL AS, PARENT GROUP MEETINGS THAT ENABLE THEM TO ACQUIRE NEEDED SKILLS, AND CONFIDENCE TO TEACH THEIR CHILD.
