DIRECT SERVICES TO PATIENTS AND COMMUNITIES - WOVENLIFE PROVIDES SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS WITH ANY TYPE OF DISABILITY ACROSS THE STATE. DURING THE 2017-2018 FISCAL YEAR, WOVENLIFE SERVED 305 CLIENTS (401 IN 2016-2017) WITH THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:ADULT DAY CENTER - SERVED 58 ADULTS (61 IN 2016-2017) WITH VARIOUS TYPES OF DISABILITIES, BOTH NEUROLOGICAL AND PHYSICAL, ALLOWING CLIENTS TO STAY LONGER IN THE HOME SETTING WITH THEIR FAMILY CAREGIVER.CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER - SERVED 78 CLIENTS (107 IN 2016-2017) IN AN INCLUSIVE AND INTER-GENERATIONAL CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER. MEDICAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM INCLUDES SPEECH AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AND PEER INTEGRATION. THE PROGRAM SERVED 121 CLIENTS (133 IN 2016-2017) BY SCREENING FOR SPEECH, GROSS AND FINE MOTOR SKILLS, SENSORY DISORDERS, AND AUTISM. SPEECH AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIES ARE ALSO PROVIDED TO MEET THE CHILDREN'S NEEDS.THE PEER INTEGRATION PROGRAM SERVED 43 CLIENTS IN 2016-2017. APPLIED BEHAVIORAL THERAPY WAS USED FOR 6 CHILDREN TO IMPROVE THEIR BEHAVIORS IN THE CLASSROOM SETTING. HOWEVER, THESE CHILDREN DID NOT HAVE ANY DIAGNOSED DISABILITIES SO THIS NUMBER IS INCLUDED IN THE TOTAL FOR THE MEDICAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM.DIRECT SERVICES - 48 APPLICATIONS FOR CHILDREN'S FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WERE FUNDED. THE FUNDING IS FOR NECESSARY MEDICAL AND REHABILITATIVE EQUIPMENT TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THOSE WITH VARYING DISABILITIES.
